The Squeeze is taking a quick break to allow our team to recharge our creative brains and catch some summer sun. Until we're back next month, enjoy these incredible travel and art destinations to rev up your inspiration engines. Prague

Prague is the 'Jewel in the Crown' of Central Europe and tourism has played an important role in its economic development in recent years. This guide features information on the layout of the city and what to visit in Prague. Source: Prague Visitors Page Puerto Vallarta Puerto Vallarta is defined by the natural charm of its beaches embraced by the Sierra Madre mountains; the essence of its culture, gastronomy and traditions; and the warmth and hospitality of being welcomed like a friend. This magical destination has an authentic Mexican taste and spirit. Source: Perto Vallarta Visitors God's Little People Cat Rescue God's Little People Cat Rescue is a no-kill, no cage cat sanctuary and adoption center located in a stunning setting in a nature preserved bay on the Greek island of Syros. The sanctuary was started in 2010 when founder Joan Bowell and her husband had just finished building an estate of four houses on a beautiful hillside.

One of Costa Rica’s main sources of income is tourism. Costa Rica is a democratic and peaceful country and it has not had an army since the year 1948. Although the country is small and it covers only 0.03 percent of the surface of the globe, it proudly shelters 5 percent of the existing biodiversity in the entire world. Twenty-six percent of the country is composed of conservation and natural protected territory. We also featured this spot a few month’s back. It’s a place I would revisit over and over. Jackson Hole, Wyoming There’s no such thing as the great indoors. Everyone knows there's great skiing in Jackson Hole, but there are plenty of other ways you can enjoy winter in the last real mountain town.

Palm Springs, California We wrote an article about this spot a few month’s ago and can attest to it’s lovely quirkiness. Outdoors, in a museum or just walking the main street there is plenty of inspiration to take in this desert oasis. Source: Visit Palm Springs and Hart House Creative Kaui, Hawaii Aloha from Kauai, Hawaii! This beautiful and lush tropical island is home to verdant rainforests, stunning beaches, and some of the best hikes in the world. Whether you're looking for adventure, relaxation, or a mix of both, Kauai has something for every type of visitor. From the majestic Na Pali Coastline to the cascading waterfalls of Hanalei and Waimea Canyon, you'll find a wealth of activities and sights to explore. And don't forget about Kauai's famous local delicacies, such as poke, shaved ice, and mixed-plate lunches! With its nearly ideal climate and welcoming local residents, Kauai is the perfect place for a memorable Hawaii vacation. Source: Hawaii Guides Coronado, CA Coronado is the perfect place to swim, sail, surf, bike, run, walk, rollerblade, play tennis, golf, or take in a play. Coronado beaches are consistently considered some of Southern California's best, and there are miles of bike paths along the coastline that provide a great way to exercise and enjoy the spectacular scenery. Or, enjoy a round of golf in the shadow of the San Diego-Coronado Bridge at the Coronado Municipal Golf Course. Source: Coronado CA Amalfi Coast (Positano, Cinque Terre)

The allure of the Amalfi Coast has drawn people to the Italian region for millennia. It's dramatic landscapes and idyllic weather enticed ancient Roman nobles to build their villas there several centuries ago, a high-end real estate trend that has never faded. Today, the mountains and cliffs remain dotted with breathtaking historic houses perched above the crystalline waters, making the coastline one of the most sought-after destinations in the world. Its fragile cultural landscape — churches, gardens, vineyards, and towns.

HART BEAT

Dippin Toes in San Diego

Travel inspires us, whether visiting a local spot that brings charm and life to our hometown, Las Vegas, or exploring somewhere far away. Every new place and face is a teacher filling our hearts and our creative well to power up and pull from for our next project.

This month’s Hart Beat was inspired by the oceanside shops in San Diego. Making your way along the shore with the water lapping at your feet is a different kind of inspiration. One that strikes a beautiful cord but turning inland, there is an array of shops with wooden signs, hand-carved details, and seaside charm that only comes from the salty, sandy streets on the outskirts of the shore.

In the spirit of these vintage beauties, the team found a series of fonts we think would fit in for the modern-day beach boutique.

And if that doesn’t float your boat. Then this pic of my dog experiencing the ocean for the first time should do the trick. Baxter, it turns out, prefers the sand to the spray.

Enjoy this month's selection of artists and creators rocking our inspiration board. Thanks, Creatives, for filling our heads and hearts with all the good stuff!

Package design is that dreamy place for us designers where we can play in a 3-D space and tap brand identity while incorporating pattern work. The layers of “make” excite this designer to the absolute max!

A few of Hart House Creative’s recent fave packaging delights are highlighted in the header for an example of how we marry identity with function in packaging. Packaging is an opportunity to think about customer experience and make a memorable impression on your audience. At the core of a good brand is its ability to think about customer value first. Below are a few brands I’ve been personally blown away by when ordering their products and a couple of resources for getting inspired and building stellar pieces for your products to make a home in until they meet their intended audience.

INSPIRED PACKAGING

All of these brands have shown up at my door and blown me away with their thoughtfulness and design precision.

All Birds I love this product and they do an exceptional job of weaving in sustainability facts and functional care instructions with shoe inserts you’ll want to keep using to help them keep their shape. It’s a happy experience. I’ll just say that.

Goodr The brand is fun and quirky and they weave in their cheeky personality with functional information like care instructions. The bag and box are useful for traveling with your new sunglasses.

Simply Impress Feels like a present and the box can be used to store favorite cards or letters after opening.

PACKAGING RESOURCES

Bonnie Christine This woman is lovely, and she gives lots of free info about pattern making, design inspiration, and surface design both on her website and Instagram. If you become fully obsessed like me, you may also consider connecting with her and her tribe of surface design proteges in her Immersion Course.

Pacdora If you’re doing package design, die lines are mandatory. This site has some excellent resources to pull from.

Template Maker Self-explanatory–So useful.

Sustainable Package Guide It’s always important for us to think about how we can be kinder to our planet. This is a great guide to get thinking in that direction.

It’s like a crash course on designing anything e-commerce, focusing on boxes, but also covers bags, mailer envelopes, labels, etc.

The channel features:

· Unboxing videos that focus on the packaging (not the product)

· Terminology and manufacturing/printing processes

· Substrate and format options

· Custom vs. stock

· How to Think about sustainability choices.

· Note that they are a supplier, but this channel is such a robust resource.

INSPIRATION TO FOLLOW The Die Line
