Interview with Sarah McAnulty, Scientist and Artist
What are some great research tips that have helped you with finding grants that you could share with our audience?Â
I generally look to see who has funded work that's similar to mine!
If you could get everyone in the world to hear and internalize one message to put into action in their everyday lives to help our planet and in turn all our futures, what would it be?Â
Break down the bigger structures that cause the world to be bad instead of beating yourself up for not being perfect.
Are there resources that we could utilize to learn how to write a compelling grant? How do you approach that process?Â
Totally depends on the funder.
Can you tell us another squid fact? Ha! I can't help it. I love them. Â
Squids can be as small as a fingernail or as long as a school bus. They live as shallow as a couple of inches or as deep as 3.8 miles below sea level!Â
What are other ways you, aside from grants, have found to help monetize your art that has been helpful in funding your work?Â
Oh, jeez, it's mostly merch, unfortunately. It's hard out there!Â
