The Art of Perspective And Patience

Photography Gives Us A Direct Path To See How Another Views The World.

A photographer doesn’t create the subject of their art. They notice it. The light hitting a wall at a certain hour, the split-second expression on a stranger’s face, the shape a canyon makes at dusk. The art is in the noticing, and in the patience it takes to wait for those moments to present themselves.

This month’s featured photographers, from Philadelphia to Las Vegas, prove there are many beautiful angles to see our world. Some find their inspiration on a crowded street, camera raised toward someone they've never met. Others find it alone, waiting hours for the sky to paint them a masterpiece. Pay close enough attention that the ordinary becomes extraordinary.

Makes you kind of excited about what you might lay your peepers on today, huh? Keep creating!

Las Vegas’s Best Photographers With A Unique Angle

Photography has the power to change the way we see a place, a person, or a fleeting moment. This month's Squeeze Selects celebrates six Las Vegas photographers whose unique perspectives transform everyday scenes into unforgettable images. From dramatic landscapes and striking portraits to unexpected details hidden in plain sight, each creative reminds us that great photography isn't just about the camera—it's about seeing the world differently. If you're looking for Las Vegas photographers to follow or fresh creative inspiration, these artists are redefining what it means to tell a story through a lens.

@bobbywheatgallery - Landscape photographer and PPA Master of Photography who shoots exclusively on large-format film (sometimes free-climbing the sandstone walls he photographs) and has run his own gallery for over 15 years.

@mikaylawhitmore - Conceptual photographer and photojournalist who builds surreal desert imagery almost entirely in-camera using color gels, filters, and optical illusions, with work in The New Yorker and The New York Times.

@tracyleephotos - Astrophotographer and founder of the hundreds-of-thousands-follower Milky Way Chasers community who chases dark skies, auroras, and meteor showers and shares the exact settings behind every shot.

Featured Philadelphia Photographers Capturing The City Through A Unique Lens

Philadelphia is a city full of stories, and every photographer has a different way of telling them. This month's Squeeze Selects spotlights six Philadelphia photographers whose unique perspectives reveal beauty, emotion, and inspiration in places many of us might otherwise overlook. Whether they're documenting vibrant street life, quiet moments, architecture, or the people who shape the city, these creatives prove that photography is as much about perspective as it is technique. Their work inspires us to slow down, look closer, and see the familiar in an entirely new way.

@southstreetsam - Street photographer who took portraits of strangers every single day for a full year (over 100,000 people captured), turning one iconic corridor into a living gallery and amassing more than a million followers along the way.

@_xst - Fine art photographer whose color-saturated, silhouette-driven images exploring Black identity have appeared at The Barnes Foundation, on a Smithsonian Magazine cover, and in Paper Magazine’s Colin Kaepernick issue.

Hannah Yoon - Documentary photographer and 2025 Pulitzer Prize finalist whose quiet, intimate portraiture has been published by The New York Times, The New Yorker, and NPR.
